Garage Door Opener Replacement
When an opener is worn out, a new one is quieter, safer and easier to live with. Installed, set up and tested in one visit.
How the swap works
Avi checks the door first. There is no point hanging a new opener on a door that is out of balance, because the new unit will be fighting the same weight the old one was. If the springs need attention that gets sorted at the same time.
The old unit and rail come down. The new one goes up, with the rail, the header bracket and the arm set to the door. Safety sensors go in at the bottom of both tracks and get lined up until the indicator is steady.
Then it is set up: travel limits so the door closes fully without pushing into the floor, force limits so it reverses if something is in the way, and the remotes and wall control programmed. He runs it several times and shows you the safety reverse working before he packs up.

Frequently asked questions
Most replacements are a couple of hours, including setting the limits and programming the remotes.
It depends on the weight of your door, how much headroom you have and how quiet you need it. Avi will look at the door and tell you what suits it rather than selling you the biggest unit.
Many current openers do. Tell Avi that is what you want and he will take it into account when he recommends one.
Not always. But if the door is out of balance it has to be sorted, otherwise the new opener wears out the same way the old one did.
