Who this is about
This policy covers avisgaragedoors.com, the website of Avis garage door in Jacksonville, Florida. It explains what the site collects when you use it, why, and who else is involved.
If you would rather not leave anything on the website at all, call 904-888-6813 instead. Nothing on this page applies to a phone call.
What you give us
Two forms on this site send information to us, and only when you choose to submit them.
- The booking form on the contact page: your name, phone number, ZIP code, the service you need, and optionally your email address, a preferred date and time, a message, and up to three photos.
- The call-back popup: your first name and phone number.
We use these to contact you about the job you asked about, and for nothing else. We do not sell them, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
What the website records on its own
When a form is submitted, the server also records the IP address the submission came from and the browser's user-agent string, alongside the time. These are kept with the enquiry and are used to stop automated abuse of the form.
The web server also keeps standard access logs, which is normal for any website.
Where it goes
- Enquiries are stored on our own server and emailed to us through Amazon Web Services, which hosts this site and delivers that email.
- Nobody buys this information from us, and we do not pass it to advertisers.
- Only the business owner has access to customer details. Nobody else inside or outside the business sees them.
Cookies and browser storage
This site uses Google Ads conversion tracking. When you arrive from a Google ad, Google sets cookies named _gcl_aw and _gcl_au in your browser so it can tell that an enquiry came from that ad. Those cookies are Google's, and Google's own privacy policy governs them.
The site also stores a few small values in your own browser that never leave your device and are never sent to us: whether you dismissed or completed the call-back popup, whether you already used the phone or booking form in this tab, and a flag used when we test the site. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Keeping it
We keep inquiry records for up to 30 months, then delete them.
Asking us about your information
Email avisproservicesincgroup@gmail.com or call 904-888-6813 and ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will need enough detail to find your enquiry.
Children
This site is for people arranging garage door work. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
